What is Microsoft Excel

MS excel 2019 is a new version of MS Excel . It is spread sheet program designed for performing calculations, and it is the world mostly used Calculation program. Excel is actually a program in Microsoft Office, which is developed by Microsoft corporation. Microsoft Office is a a group of program specifically designed for Office use, but can be used by every one. Excel is one of the part or member of Office family of programs. Microsoft Excel has a large sheet on which we perform different tasks hence it is called Spread Sheet Program. The default file name of Ms Excel is Book means, when we create any new file , its name will be book1, book2, book 3 and so on. Excel book is also referred as Work Book, which contains sheets which are also called Work Sheet. Sheets consist of pages on which we work and perform our calculations. Its exe file is excel.exe, where as exefile of MS Word is Winword. The default File Extension of MS Excel file is .xlsx but it supports many other formats like pdf, csv and so on.

What are purposes and uses of Excel 2019

Calculation: Excel is designed for calculation purpose, means its main purpose is calculation, we can perform all types of calculations in Ms Excel like simple Calculation , Complex Calculation, Programming Calculation, Scientific Calculation, Statistics calculation.
Accounting: Accounting is language or art of business which records and summaries the transaction of business in terms of money, Excel can be used or account purpose.
Database Management System (DBMS): The program which have is used to create and manage databases is called Database Management System, excel can also be used as DBMS Program.
Tabular Work: Excel has better features and capabilities for tabular work than MS word, so Excel is extensively used for tabular work
Data Analysis: Excel has many features which allow us to analyze data in different ways, like Charts, Pivot Table, Pivot Charts, What if Analysis, Scenario Manager , Goal Seek, sort and filter and so on.
