count counta countblank countif functions in Ms Excel video tutorial in urdu hindi part 2

There are different counting function in MS Excel , like count(), counta(), countblank(), countif()
count(range)
count function counts the numeric cells in given data range, means count function will return total numbers of cells which contain numbers in given data range, like if have entered salaries in a column but in some cells you have not entered numbers or left empty. Now you want ot count the cells which contains the salary amounts then you can use count function, lets assume if you have entered the salaries of employees from cell f4 to f20 , now you can type count function in any cell as =count(f4:f20)
counta(range)
This function counts all cells , excel blank cell, meaning you can count all cells in which you have entered some data in some column. Assume we have some data entered in column g, from cell g4 to g30, now we can use counta() formula to count the cells which contains some value as =counta(g4:g30)
countblank(range)
This function counts empty cells in given data range, like if you have entered some data in column f , from range f5 to f30, but in that range some cells are empty, then you can use this formula to count the empty cells like =countblank(f5:f30)
countif(range,condition)
If you want to count cells in a range according to some condition, like you have entered names of persons in a column and want to see how much times a particular name is entered into column, suppose you have entered Ali 3 time in a rage of cell from b4 to b20, then if you type function =countif(b4:b20,"Ali") in any cell it will return 3.
