What is MS Office

  • Microsoft Office is an Application Software also called Application 
  • Microsoft Office is developed by Microsoft Corporation 
  • It is suite(Set) / Collection  of Programs 
  • You can say that it is a family which contains the members such as MsWord, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint, Ms Access, Ms Outlook, Ms Publisher, Ms Groove. 
  • If you need programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access etc, you must install Ms Office in your Computer. 
  • Ms Office 2019 is the latest version of Ms Office 
  • There are other versions also like Office 2010, Office 2007, Office XP, Office 2003 and so on. 
  • Ms Office is specially designed for Office Work. 
  • You can use Ms Office programs for different purposes such as you can use Word for creating text documents such as CVs, Letters, Applications , Memos, Faxes, Assignments, Notes, Magazines, Books, typing etc, you can use excel for calculation, database, accounting, statistics, tabular work, your can use PowerPoint to create your presentations, you can use Access for handling and creating relational databases, you can use outlook for email purpose, you can use publisher for creating and publishing both Web and Print Media Publishing Content. 

What is MS Word

Microsft word is word pressing application which you can use to create text documents like letters, 
applications , memos, faxes and you can use MS Word for tabular work. MS Word has a lot of rich features like tables, mail merge, section breaks, header and footer, water mark, illustrations, cross references, book marks, citation, security etc, which you can use to create document of every type, you can create vouchers, you can create certificates, you can create monograms or logos, you can create invoices and so on. 
Exefile of MS Word is "winword", the default file extension of MS Word documents is ".docx" and for older versions extension is ".doc",  The default file name of MS Word is "document", and page of MS Word is called Page, whereas in Excel File name is Book also called Work Book and the page name is Sheet also called Work Sheet. 
MS Word is called word processor because it is used for wordpressing. 
What is word pressing: 
Any program used to create text documents is called word processor.

What is MS Excel

Microsoft excel is the member of MS Office family which is created for calculation, You can use MS Excel for every type of calculation like simple, complex, math etc, also Excel is largely used for Accounting and some how for Database Management.
The file extension of MS Excel 2007 and above is ".xlsx" while older excel version has extension ".xlx". The exefile of MS Excel is "excel.exe", the default file name of MS Excel is "Book" it is also called Work Book and the Pages of Excel are called Sheets also called Work Sheets.
MS Excel is also called spread sheet program because it is consist of a large spread sheet in its file. MS Excel sheet has cells. The vertical line of cells is called Column and horizontal line of cells is said to be Row.

What is MS PowerPoint

It is also member of MS office family it is designed for making presentation, the presentation. In English Language the word presentation means to deliver ideals or thoughts. The same situation is in PowerPoint we deliver thoughts or ideas visually through PowerPoint. PowerPoint can be used by teacher to make lecture presentation, engineers to present their researches or invention, Business  Persons to showcase their business services and products visual in manner. PowerPoint has rich features like animations , video , audio, action buttons, transitions, photo album and so on which you can used to create effective presentation for all purposes. The file name of PowerPoint is called Presentation , The default file extension is "pptx". PowerPoint Presentation can be saved in PowerPoint Show (PPSX), Video formats , Image formats, PDF Formats.

What is Ms Outlook

Microsoft Outlook is also member of Microsoft  Office suite like Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. It is emailing program. It is very nice program if you have multiple emails and want at one place. You can add your multiple email accounts in Outlook and check and send email message from Outlook instead of opening different programs individually. Ms Outlook as features like People, Calendar, Task. MS Outlook can be used for events and meeting schedules, task management etc.

What is MS Access

Microsoft Access is program in MS Office suite used for Creating , Managing Relational Databases. Relational Database is the database which consist of multiple related tables. MS Access is said to be RDBM Application which stands for Relational Database Management System.  Any program which can be used for creating and managing Relational Databases is called RDBS (Relational Databases Management System)
